Christ the King, on the Aba road
Christ the King Cathedral is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Aba. From the air it is a long stone church, a pierced tower with a cross, and a gate that opens onto one of Aba’s busy roads, with keke passing the fence.
The diocese was carved out in 1990. The church you see is older in feeling than that date: a city landmark parishioners still call CKC, used as a meeting point as much as a place of worship.
